The Raceways
Raceways are a very efficient aquaculture management system used in the production of a number of commercial species. Although the raceways that we have were designed more to hold, grade, sort, and distribute ornamental and bait fish, we will be able to use them for a wide range of production activities.
Piedmont Aquaculture intends to expand the raceway facilities to include above ground production raceways, stationary in-pond and floating raceways. There have been many advancements in raceway design, that increase production and efficiencies, and Piedmont intends to use a variety of designs to support its philosophy of aquaculture diversification.
