On Monday, September 20th 9 people from Merrill Gardens came to the fee fishing ponds to fish and have a catfish lunch prepared by Nana herself. Everyone said it was a wonderful outing and some of the best catfish they have tasted.
Piedmont supplied the poles, line and bait and for lunch we had fried catfish on a bun, coleslaw, chips, iced tea, ice cream and homemade cookies. All for $10! We hope other retirement establishments will consider us for one of their actitives in the upcoming months.
Cub/scout outings and individual birthday parties are being considered by the establishment. Cubs and scouts would be able to earn their badge or belt loop plus we promise a good time and good catching.
